| Notes |
| The Empire Electric Manufacturing Company, known as the "Battery Works", was organized on August 11, 1925. Empire began by maufacturing auto, radio and farm storage batteries. The company made radio sets under its "Empire" brand in 1926. The company's factory was in Beaver Dam, WI, with a sales office in Milwaukee at the Juneau Avenue address. In September 1928 Empire was sold to the Grant Storage Battery Company of Minneapolis, and continued as the Empire Battery Company for eight months before being reorganized as the Solar Battery Comapny of Beaver Dam. There is no indication of radios being produced after the September 1928 sale. |
